Forrest Estate Pinot Gris 2011

Pinot Gris Wines

Alluring nose of ripe apple, pear and honeysuckle flavours; with just a hint of orange blossom and cinnamon spice. These ripe fruit and floral aromas carry through on the palate taste. Delightful; it’s a beautifully balanced wine, just dry with a full soft palate and refreshing lingering finish.

Terra Felix Pinot Gris 2010

Pinot Gris Wines

The inspiration for the Terra Felix Pinot Gris came from a visit to the famous French Region of Alsace. In particular, one standout Producer named Trimbach. To find grapes that were suitable for the Gris style I chose the Strathbogie Ranges in Central Victoria. High up on the Great Dividing Range with cool nights and moderately warm days provide the conditions necessary for full ripeness and high acidity.

Lerida Estate Botrytis Pinot Gris (375ml) 2010

Pinot Gris Wines

This is a delightfully sweet wine showing the same nutty, dried apricot, raisin, spice, apple and marmalade aromas as previous vintages of this wine. The palate is warm and unctuous. The wine is balanced by a long acid finish.

This is a gorgeous wine!

Pinot Gris Wines

Forrest Estate Pinot Gris 2009

Grown on two distinctly different vineyard sites within the Wairau River Valley one providing a delicate citrus, and apple flavour profile, crisp acidity and fine minerality, the other gives a much more exotic flavour profile – orange blossom, peach, Asian pear and honeysuckle. The grapes were hand harvested, whole bunch pressed, cold settled and cool fermented prior to blending and finishing for bottling in early August.
